![]() Michael Chapman |
Michael Chapman came to Pittsburgh in 1996 when he was offered a scholarship to study classical guitar at Duquesne University. Having brought a wealth of administrative experience gained during his seven years of employment at Maritime Financial Group, a leading financial institution in Trinidad and Tobago, he was offered the position of Program Coordinator for the Duquesne University Multicultural Computer Academy. Sensitivity to the life transforming effect that music had on his own life, and the vital role that the arts play in human existence, inspired him to seek ways of sharing fine art with others. With the vision of the guitar as a gateway into the arts, and the merging of his artistic and administrative talents, he approached Thomas Kikta, Chairman, and Don Maue, President, and co-founded the Guitar Society of Fine Art in April 2001. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
