About The Artist
Ken Hatfield is a truly original guitarist. Innovative, new and fresh sounds emanate from the six strings of this nylon string fingerstyle guitarist. Ken composes the music he performs, and is an extremely rare combination of musical genius. what does that mean "rare combination of musical genius:" Ken composes and improvises the most elaborate multi-voice fugues that you will here on a guitar, and also blows through the changes of the most complex Jazz Standards in an effortless and musically meaningful way. He is absolutely at home in both the classical and jazz genres, and his original works reflect years of dedicated musical exploration through the polyphonic works of the Baroque period, chord and rhythm changes of American Jazz, and the spice of South American Latin Jazz. Truly new and innovative music for the guitar. Ken will be joined by bassist Gene Torres and Drummer Jeff Hirshfield.
